Sandblasting
Sandblasting is an option that creates a more 'matte' or 'pastel' look on gemstones. If your piece has multiple stones you can exclude some from being sandblasted for a drastic contrast.
Sandblasting can also give texture to shape ends. Cost is around $10 per gemstone or $30 for shape ends depending on the manufacturer. Not all manufacturers offer this service.
Please specify which pieces you would like sandblasted in the 'Order special instructions' section at checkout. We will send an email letting you know if the requested sandblasting is possible and the cost. Here is where you will also put anodization requests.
Here is an example of what to write:
Anatometal Citrine Triple Fan Marquise: Sandblast the outer two stones Anatometal Titanium Moon End: Sandblast and anodize pink |
Once requested sandblasting is confirmed, we will send an invoice for the sandblasting fee(s). We will not order your custom piece until your invoice is paid.
