Threaded vs Threadless

INTERNALLY THREADED

Screws in, righty-tighty, lefty-loosey. Check your tightness every now and then, especially with high-movement areas of the body!

THREADLESS

Threadless ends have a pin on the back that is 'stuffed' into the post. It comes from the manufacturer straight, but the piercer is meant to put a bend in the pin to create the tension which holds the end in place. As a courtesy, we pre-bend all threadless ends purchased through Boomerang Tattoo Company. If you would prefer us to leave your pins straight, please specify in the 'Order special instructions' section at checkout.

As you remove and insert your own jewelry, the tension on the pin may lessen over time and a re-adjustment may be necessary. Threadless curved and circular bars can be more difficult to work with than straight. You may always fill out a contact form if you have any trouble. We will do our best to assist you.
